My Beautiful SheEvolvesNow Queen, How Are You Doing Today?
Life has a way of pulling you in a hundred different directions at once. Between building a career, nurturing a marriage, raising children, managing a home, and trying to find a moment for yourself, it can feel like you are constantly on the go. The demands never seem to end, and even when you finally get a moment to breathe, your mind is still racing with everything that needs to be done.
In the middle of it all, I want to remind you of something important. God sees you. He sees your effort, your sacrifices, your strength, and even the moments when you feel like you are barely holding it all together. Psalm 139:1 says, “O Lord, thou hast searched me, and known me.” You are not invisible to God. You are deeply known and fully loved by Him.
How Hot Is Your Prayer Closet?
In the middle of all these responsibilities, something subtle can begin to happen. We begin to drift. The connection we once felt so strongly with God starts to feel distant. Prayer becomes shorter, less frequent, or something we postpone. Jesus, who gives us strength, becomes someone we only run to in emergencies.
So I want to ask you a simple but powerful question. How hot is your prayer closet?
The Drift Away from Intimacy with God
As women, especially as mothers and caregivers, we are constantly pouring into others. We give, we serve, and we show up. But the danger of always pouring out is that we forget to refill. We become spiritually dehydrated without even realizing it.
Prayer is not just a religious activity. It is not a checklist item. It is not something to squeeze into your schedule when everything else is done. Prayer is a relationship. Prayer is intimacy. Prayer is where your soul breathes.
Jeremiah 29:13 reminds us, “And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.” God is not hiding from you. He is waiting for you.
When was the last time you sat with Jesus without rushing? Not asking for anything, not presenting a list, just being in His presence. When was the last time you allowed silence long enough for Jesus to speak to your heart?
If you are honest, your prayer life may have become more transactional than relational, and you are not alone. But the good news is this. You can return.

Your First Calling: Relationship with God
Before you are anything else, before the titles and responsibilities, you are a daughter of God. That identity is your foundation.
Matthew 6:33 says, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” The order matters. When God is first, everything else begins to align.
Sometimes we become so focused on doing things for God that we neglect being with God. Yet He desires your presence more than your performance. Intimacy with God does not happen by accident. It is cultivated intentionally. It requires choosing Jesus daily, even when life feels overwhelming.

What Does a “Hot” Prayer Closet Look Like?
A “hot” prayer closet is not about perfection, eloquent words, or long hours. It is about passion, consistency, and authenticity. It is a place where you show up regularly, even when you do not feel like it, and where you are honest with Jesus about how you truly feel. It is a place where you can say, “Jesus, I am tired,” or “Jesus, I do not understand.” God honors your honesty.
It is also a place of worship, not just requests. Psalm 100:4 says, “Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise.” Gratitude shifts your heart.
A hot prayer closet is also a place of listening. Prayer is a conversation, not a monologue. Some of the most powerful moments happen in stillness, when you allow Jesus to speak to your spirit. Most importantly, it is consistent. Even ten minutes a day can transform your relationship with God.

Why Your Prayer Life Matters More Than Ever
Life is not slowing down anytime soon. If anything, the responsibilities will increase, and the demands will grow. Without a strong spiritual foundation, it becomes easy to feel overwhelmed and disconnected.
But when your prayer life is strong, everything changes. Philippians 4:6–7 says, “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
That peace is real. It does not mean life becomes easy, but it means you carry calm in the middle of chaos. When your prayer life is strong, you gain clarity in your decisions, you respond instead of reacting, and you walk in confidence. Your prayer closet becomes your power source.

A Call to Rise Again
Women. Mothers. Wives. Queen. This is your reminder. It is time to go back. Go back to the place where you first encountered God. Go back to the moments where you felt the presence of Jesus. Go back to the space where your spirit was renewed.
Revelation 2:4–5 says, “Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works.” God is calling you back to your first love.
Make your prayer closet hot again, not out of obligation, but out of desire. Pray until something shifts. Pray until your heart aligns with God’s will. Pray until your home is covered in peace.
James 5:16 reminds us, “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous woman availeth much.” Your prayers carry power.

How to Start Rebuilding Your Prayer Life
If you are wondering where to start, keep it simple. Set aside a specific time each day. Turn off distractions. Speak honestly to Jesus. Sit quietly and listen. Worship freely. Consistency matters more than perfection.
